Amazing Volunteers!

Each summer, youth groups from all over the country visit us with an organization called YouthWorks. These groups rotate throughout the community, helping wherever they are needed. These kids give up their summers to help those in need and they always come in with smiles and a willingness to work hard. HMHI is blessed with many church youth groups that come willing to do whatever needs to be done from painting to yardwork. Their energy and enthusiasm are very much appreciated! Billie & Paul spend 6 months each year working with HMHI staff on countless projects. They spend the other 6 months on the Mexican border working with immigrants in poverty-stricken communities. Their dedication is inspiring and we couldn't live without them!
St. Paul's youth are regulars around HMHI, coming to us to do rehab projects, paint, clean, whatever needs to be done. What an amazing group of people we see come from the area churches! HMHI could not survive without the help of countless volunteers each year! Groups come to us willing to paint and clean apartments, do yardwork, build playsets and many other projects. Twice each month, HMHI participants attend group meetings during which volunteers care for their children with fun activities. Parents are grateful for the caring, smiling faces in the childcare room so they can focus on their meeting with no worries.
