HMHI depends greatly upon the generosity of donors. The food pantry is one of the services provided to program participants. Many parents are working on educational goals and depend on the pantry to assist with their needs. Items are also purchased from Riverbend Foodbank when funds are available. Clothing donations are welcome and are passed on to participants daily. An area has been designated in the HMHI office building that families can come and find clothing for themselves and their children. We do ask that only clothing in good repair and free of stains so that we may pass on quality items to our families. We also ask that only "seasonal" clothing be donated as we do not have storage space available for out of season items.

HMHI struggles more and more each year with government funding cuts and rising costs. With 47 families, leases, utilities, staff, etc. it becomes more difficult each year to provide the neccessities to assist our partipants with their goals. Monetary donations from private donors are the only way that HMHI survives in a struggling economy. Donations can be made through this website, by mail or by stopping into our office during business hours. We appreciate all gifts, big and small! Please contact S.
